From a stone, the Monkey King was born!
Eyes of fire and gold. Seventy-two transformations. One somersault he travels one hundred and eight thousand miles. Look out! He may pop up next to you!
Taking Heaven and Hell by storm, Monkey does not even fear the Jade Emperor (starred by Jonathan Wong), but the Goddess of Mercy (starred by Gregory Charles Rivers)?
Oh no, I almost forgot. The scriptures! Let’s journey to the West with Tang Monk, Pigsy and Sharky!

About the Choreographers:
Willy TSAO established CCDC in 1979 and has been its Artistic Director since 1989. He is currently the leader of the three leading dance companies in mainland China (CCDC, Guangdong Modern Dance Company and BeijingDance/LDTX). As one of the most prolific Chinese choreographers, TSAO takes inspiration from the full breadth of Chinese culture including philosophy, history, opera and even Chinese rock n'roll. His works have been performed internationally.
Ronly KONG has been a dancer, choreographer, and teacher in various productions in and out of Hong Kong. She attained the Choreography Award in the 34th to 38th Schools Dance Festival. Currently, she is the CCDC Dance Centre Outreach Affairs Manager and the instructor of Dance Training Scholarship Scheme "Teens of Colours". She performs the roles of dance administrator, instructor, choreographer and master of ceremony respectively.
Peggy LAM was a member of CCDC's Scholarship Class and a dancer of CCDC's youth dance ensemble Young Sky and WuDaoQingNian (WDQN). During her modern dance study at Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), she received several scholarships and participated in the Academy's overseas tours. She has co-choreographed Grand Opening and Past, Present, Future with WDQN alumni. She presented her choreographic work Picture Triangle in In-between in 2014. She is currently a full-time dancer of CCDC. She is also a tutor of CCDC Dance Centre's adult and children dance courses.
Born in Shanghai, Shirley LOK graduated from HKAPA in 2009, majoring in ballet. During her studies, she received several scholarships and the Silver Medal of the 2nd Hong Kong Young Ballet Stars Award by The Hong Kong Ballet Group. In 2007, she joined CCDC's WDQN, sparking her interest in modern dance. She joined CCDC in 2010 and choreographed Besieged for In-between in 2014.
